Is this a marketplace?
No. Alfaekart gives you your own store, with your own address, your own customers and your own brand. Shoppers buy from you, not from a list of competing sellers, and you keep the customer details.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. Every store gets a free yourshop.alfaekart.com address. On the Dukaan and Showroom plans you can connect a domain you own, such as meenasbakes.in, and we set up the SSL certificate for you.
Do I need a GST number?
Not to start. Many home sellers and small shops begin without one. If you are registered, add your GSTIN in settings and invoices will show it with tax broken out. Ask your accountant whether registration applies to you.
Can customers pay by UPI?
Yes. Customers can pay with any UPI app, cards, popular wallets and net banking, and you can switch cash on delivery on or off for each delivery zone.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. You can build the store, add products, take orders, print or share shipping labels and send offers from your phone. Your store is also designed phone-first, because that is where most of your customers will shop.
How long does it take?
Most stores go live the same day. The AI draft takes a few minutes once your photos are uploaded. The rest of the time goes into checking prices, adding your payment details and choosing delivery areas.
Who writes the product descriptions?
The AI drafts names and descriptions from your photos and the details you add. You review and edit every one before it goes live, and you are responsible for keeping them accurate.
Will you contact my customers?
